What are the terms of employment?

Expenses and allowances:
Going abroad volunteers choose between signing a contract with Handicap International France or with Handicap International Belgium.

Both contracts include:

• Local living allowance (depending on the country)
• Flat rate monthly allowance
• Social Security
• Work related travel costs
• 1 plane ticket to home country per year

Handicap International covers some supporting costs for dependants e.g. social security, transport to and from the place of mission and an allowance towards children's schooling fees.

Insurance:

• Healthcare expenses, invalidity and death
• Repatriation on medical or security grounds
